Stop Smoking Service [29/04/2009] The Stockton & Hartlepool Stop Smoking Service currently advertises approximately 20 clinics across the Trust`s areas of Stockton & Hartlepool and the timing and location of these clinics are varied to promote patient choice. We also offer Stop Smoking Sessions in your local pharmacies - please see the Pharmacy One Stop Shop information to see if there is one that is suitable for you.
If you are registered with a GP in the Stockton or Hartlepool and have decided to go SMOKEFREE well done! You are on your way to achieving a more positive healthier lifestyle and you can walk in to any of the drop in sessions without a prior appointment and without referral from your GP or other health professional. You will be offered one-to-one advice and support from trained advisors, and, if appropriate, prescriptions for one of the many stop smoking treatments that are available. You can also have your level of carbon monoxide gas monitored and many people feel very encouraged by being able to see the progress they are making as they see the fall in carbon monoxide in their body.
